“ I had such a great time at Nari on Sunday! I made a reservation online, so I'm not sure how long the wait is for walk-ins, but everything went super smoothly. Since we were celebrating my friend's birthday, the staff went above and beyond to make it extra special. The coolest part? They even printed his name on the menu! The service was amazing, and they really paid attention to the little details. These are my thoughts on food. Yum Gati Pia: This was a carrot salad with the perfect mix of sweet, sour, and a little spice. The flavors blended so well together! Squid & Pork Jowl: Super flavorful with a fish sauce base. It was a little fishy (in a good way) and so tasty. Gaeng Hung Lay: Beef cheek curry that was like a rich, comforting beef stew. The meat was ridiculously tender and it basically melted in my mouth. Gaeng Bumbai Aubergine: Hands down my favorite dish of the night! The eggplant curry was crazy spicy (even for me), but I loved it. The crispy eggplant with the spicy curry was just chef's kiss. I'm still thinking about it. Pandan Ice Cream: A solid dessert! It had a little saltiness, which actually made it stand out in a really good way. By the end of the meal, we were so full. It didn't seem like a ton of food at first, but somehow, all four of us were stuffed. We were literally trying to finish everything because it was that good. Overall, Nari was such a great experience. The food was amazing, the service was top-notch, and they made my friend's birthday feel extra special. Definitely recommend checking it out! ”

“ The most exquisite food in a gorgeous setting. I book and rebook Nari at every opportunity I get! They have excellent, well-balanced cocktails, an innovative and delicious menu, and a beautiful space that is perfect for a group, date or girls night. Bonus points for a menu that is excellent for anyone with gluten or dairy allergies, everything is deliciously spiced, and it's beautifully presented. You won't find your usual green thai curry or pad see ew here (love classic thai food but this isn't it). Enjoy! ”

“ Food: Tom sum-o: 4/5. This citrus-heavy starter was very fun and vibrant. The bits of crunchy garlic really played in your mouth with the refreshing, sweet slices of various citruses (grapefruit, orange, etc). I was expecting a nicer arrangement/presentation considering this place has a michelin star. It kind of just looked like they threw a bunch of various ingredients on top. Namtok moo: 5/5. Our favorite dish of our meal. Tender, juicy pork slices marinated with a rather spicy and sour sauce. The meat had a generous serving of cilantro sitting on top, but it looked intentional and not messy (unlike the Tom sum-o). Served with fresh lettuce & cucumbers and sticky rice. Caramalized fish sauce cabbage: 5/5. Perfectly cooked between crunchy and soft. Gaeng hung lay: 4.7/5. The sauce that the tender bits of beef bathed in was very spiced and hearty. The bits of peanuts were a great added texture to the dish overall. Kusuma (non-alcoholic drink): 2.5/5. I was expecting a mango lassi with hints of pineapple but instead it was really just a pineapple smoothie. Quite disappointed, especially considering it was $15. Ambiance: Very tropical feel with (real!) tropical plants like monstera filling the room. There were many lovely private-ish comfy booths and ambient lighting. Service: First course was served pretty fast, but can't say the same for second. We didn't really mind the delay--just a fair warning. Waitstaff were very polite, attentive, and knowledgeable about the dishes and I really appreciated that! Overall: This is a nice spot for dinner. Food is good, can't say the drinks are on par with it though. Service is also very good. I'd recommend the Namtok moo! ”

“ Modern creative take on Thai cuisine. Price is high so I expected better. 3.5/5 - citrus salad: well picked various types of citrus and a light fish sauce. Pretty refreshing but nothing too impressive imo - pork jowl and squid: pork jowl is a fatty delight, squid is nicely charred. Sauce is a typical dark caramel fish sauce. The sticky rice is pretty dry for my taste - beef cheek curry: solid curry with tender beef cheek. The rice is again very dry - stir fried cabbage: look unassuming but very delicious! A surprise for sure. The cabbage is nicely charred and seasoned just right with fish sauce. - salted coconut ice cream with pandan: this is a masterpiece. It's sooooo good. If you love coconut, highly recommend this! ”

I thought that this dish was deparately missing some sort of sweetness or cooling flavor to provide some relief to the heat, like perhaps some smashed kiwi or grapes, as the lettuce does not provide that relief. (Squid and Pork Jowl: A) - Squid and pork is not a common pairing I've seen, but it works well as the pork adds some fatty richness to contast the lean and springy squid. The squid ink reduction adds a beautiful sweetness that brings the dish together and encourages you to taste that natural beauty with the side of sticky rice. (Sawari: A) - This simple yet elegant cocktail brings the fruit tea concept into a cocktail with the green tea gin that I greatly enjoyed. There are notes of fruit punch from berries to plum without being overpoweringly sweet. (Gaeng Bumbai Abuergine: B) - I really enjoyed the smart techniques employed in this dish; eggplant is naturally absorbant, so frying it was smart to let the curry flavor absorb with a time lag while maintaining texture; the curry has a strong backbone and maintains a spicy note, which was enjoyable when paired with the rice and eggplant. “ Nari's been on my list for a while now and I had a good experience! The good: - what really won me over was their attentive and competent wait staff. I missed her name but she was thorough, kind, and had an upbeat personality. Our waters were always full and they took the time to get rid of the crumb on my table... yep 1 star service for sure. - my friend had allergies and they handled everything so well. - the northern Thai dishes were great. My favorite dish is the Pork Jowl and Squid (ofcourse). - I really enjoyed my friends mango drink with pandan whipped cream. I ordered two of my own but they didn't really stand out (sawari and the Tim something) can't win them all. The meh: Dishes were very expensive lol. You're looking at an average of $50 per entree and $30 per appetizer. ”
